The Night We Slept in the Shed 11x14
Title: Remember That Time We Slept in the Shed? This was one of the last good memories I have, of all together sleeping under one roof. We were just a bunch of dumb kids having a slumber party, playing pranks and scaring each other. We never knew it would be the last slumber party as kids, or had any idea on how things were about to change. The five of us don’t talk much anymore, at least not like we used to. Growing up sometimes means growing apart. The neighborhood never seemed the same after they left, it became very quiet and empty. Some times if the circumstances were right and when we ever see each other in passing , we always bring up that one night, and laugh. "One day we went out to play with our friends for the last time ever. None of us realized." This quote hits hard, when your time with your friends was cut short, due to drugs, alcohol and an early enlistment to the army. To most this is a creepy barn in the woods, but to me it's a monument that stands in my friend's Dads back yard. I always make sure those who buy this print know the story behind it, so they can hear it's true purpose. I also tell it to hold me to the point, on remembering those better days.
