Flint Hills Sunset

The Flint Hills have a subtle beauty and immediately dispel the myth of flyover country. My work for an engineering company allowed me to be part of the team that re-designed this scenic overlook in one of Kansas' most beautiful places. Being a contrarian, I prefer that subtlety that comes with darkness so as night fell, this image was exposed to bring the highway to life below the sunset.
