The new PGH Print Ship product type allows LocalGood artists to offer professional, high-quality prints of their work. Follow these steps to set up your print-on-demand product:
1. Start a New Product
- Log in to your LocalGood artist account.
- Go to Products in your dashboard.
- Click Add New Product.
2. Enter Basic Product Details
- Add a Product Title (name of your artwork).
- Add a Product Short Description (this appears at the top of your product page).
- Add a Full Product Description (optional, for additional details or story behind the work).
- Upload your Main Product Image.
3. Select the Product Type 
- Scroll to the Product Data section.
- In the dropdown, select Print Ship (instead of “Simple” or “Variable”).
This will load a new section called Print Ship Product Fields.
4. Complete Print Ship Product Fields
You’ll see three required fields:
- Print Quality High-Res File
- Upload your high-resolution artwork file.
- Requirements:
- Minimum resolution (details listed on the page).
- File type (e.g., JPG, PNG, TIFF).
- RGB color space.
- A link is provided to Print Ship’s guidelines and our local partner, Bodega Film Lab, if you need support and live in the Pittsburgh region.
- Available Materials
- Choose from the list of print materials (e.g., photo paper, fine art paper, canvas).
- Options are pre-set by LocalGood and may expand over time.
- Available Sizes
- Choose which sizes your artwork can be sold in.
- These are also managed on the backend and will be available as dropdowns.
5. Add Pricing and Other Settings
- Set your Regular Price.
- (Optional) Add a Sale Price if you want to run a promotion.
- Select relevant Categories and Occasions.
- Adjust your SEO Settings (if using Yoast).
6. Submit for Review
- Double-check your details, images, and file quality.
- Click Submit for Review.
- LocalGood will review and approve your product before it goes live.
