Mixed media, small: Vortex 412, Abstract
This is one of my all-time favorite exposures, as it has heavily influenced the development of my style as a photographer. A friend and I decided to shoot a few rolls of film one night in 2009 atop Mount Washington in Pittsburgh. When we got there, I had the thought that I did not want to simply recreate an image that I had taken previously; I craved creating something different. I had always been interested in long-exposure, experimental images, and utilized the shoot to do something a little wild. By stretching the bounds of what is expected of an image of the cityscape, a unique spin was achieved, which has pushed me to continue to look for these opportunities during my photo shoots ever since.
This is a one-of-a-kind mixed media piece featuring a 4"x 4" photographic print on aluminum of the iconic view atop Mount Washington in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The aluminum print is mounted atop a distressed-look 8"x 8"x 1-5/8" birch panel and includes saw-tooth hardware on the reverse for hanging. Signed on reverse.
Shipping and handling/City of Pittsburgh delivery is included in pricing.
