Hot August evening just east of downtown Tulsa. Third and Kenosha to be exact. The renaissance of Tulsa's Blue Dome District was in full swing but hadn't reached this far east. You can only spend so much time in a motel room or a bar, no matter how hot it is. The sun was so low and hot in the sky you could feel it burning the shadow of the leaves into the orange stucco and brick.
