The Eilc is one of our most versatile pieces. It can be worn as either a pendant on a chain, a brooch, scarf pin, or kilt pin. The only limit on ideas is imagination! It comes with a removable heavy 24" sterling silver chain and sliding pin. The design is from the Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript that is considered one of Ireland's greatest cultural treasures. "Eilc" means "elk" in Gaelic, however many people interpret the animal designs of the Book of Kells in different ways that are meaningful to them. Our pieces are handmade in our Pennsylvania studio, and all are available upon request in other fine metals such as gold or platinum.
