Handmade locally today with the quality of yesterday. Songbird Artistry was started by Debbie Jacknin and her daughters, Jennifer Orefice and Jacklyn Juliar. Each of them specializes in their own craft and have long been selling their jewelry, mosaics, screen printed apparel and vintage finds. They are proud to carry made items from 50 local artisans. Songbird Artistry was started by Debbie Jacknin and her daughters, Jennifer and Jacklyn. Each of them specializes in their own craft and have long been selling their jewelry, mosaics, screen printed apparel and vintage finds at craft shows going back to when Jennifer was only 13. Their first physical location was a booth at the Pittsburgh Public Market in the Strip, where the three of them sold their own goods. It was there that they began to develop relationships with the other local artists and craftsmen who rented stands there as well. With such a supportive community, it was an ideal location and business, on the rise. Soon after they found their current location on Penn Ave across from the children’s hospital where they have been selling an expanded inventory of locally crafted Jewelry, prints, apparel, beauty supplies, and vintage goods ever since, where they also carry the items of over 50 other Pittsburgh artisans.
